まあ、人口学者はモデストだから言わないだろうけれど、多産を推奨する文脈で「女性が安心して産める社会」と喧伝しているけれど、これはかなり矛盾した概念で、女性が安心できる社会は子供を生まない社会なんだよね。
当然だけれど、女性蔑視が強く戦争やテロで混乱しているパレスチナやアフリカ大陸のほうが先進諸国より出生率が圧倒的に高い。日本だと戦後の混乱期が一番だね。食うや食わずの状況になると人はなぜか多産になるのだ。これは、社会情勢が安心している社会より、不安な社会のほうが出生率が高い矛盾だ。
